It’s all about the rice, according to a new study.
Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin conducted a survey of more than 100,000 people on the topic of brown rice.
The results revealed that a whopping 60 percent of respondents said they don’t know how to prepare brown rice in their own kitchens.
Researchers from the University College London also surveyed nearly 4,000 Australians and found that about half of those surveyed said they prefer to cook their rice with a little bit of oil.
That’s a pretty hefty proportion considering that the average person eats around 30 to 35 cups of rice a day.
The good news is that you can find the best results in a microwave.
If you’re in a pinch, you can also cook brown rice with your favorite stir fry sauce.
