There are a few different ways to make brown, but here are three different recipes that we recommend you try.

To make brown curry, place a large bowl with a couple of tablespoons of rice in the bottom.

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of brown, rice-free rice and 1 cup warm water.

Add the rest of the water and stir to combine.

Cook over low heat, uncovered, until the rice is tender and a little liquid has evaporated.

Once the water is evaporated, stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves and cook for about 10 minutes.

Stir in the chicken and cook until the chicken is cooked through.

If using a smaller bowl, use a spoon to transfer the rice into the bowl and stir until all of the rice has been absorbed.

Cook the rice until the liquid is absorbed, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Add a splash of lemon juice if the browning is too thick or too watery.

Taste and adjust as needed.

To cook the curry, combine the curry with 1/4 cup of the brown, dried rice, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon salt in a large saucepan.

Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer, then add the remaining rice and stir occasionally until the water has evaporate.

Remove from heat and stir in a splash more sugar if desired.

Serve immediately, but the curry will keep in the fridge for up to a week.
